Nazare

Nazare is a picturesque fishing village, which has long been established as a tourist destination for both Portuguese and Europeans. The city is known for it's fishing boats with ancient design as well as the traditional costumes worn by the fishermen and their wives. You can still see the women wearing the typical embroidered aprons over seven flannel skirts drying fish on the beach.

The city has an area of 83sq kilometers and about 15,000 inhabitants. It has an original Geographical location and you can access it's Belvedere area on the hilltop with magnificent views over the beach. There is year round entertainment on the beach, weekly markets and a lively night life for all ages

Nazare has everything you need in terms of Bank, Supermarkets, and Restaurants. There are numerous activities for children - apart from the beach - including a large Aqua Park. The great advantage that Nazare has is that you have the contrast of the bustling sandy tourist beach, against the large nature preserved area overlooking the unspoilt beach at Praia do Norte.
